All travelSouth Yorkshire Essentials · For radio stations
Hello radio people
Here at Essentials we know the importance of the human touch — and, most importantly, refinement and good workflow. We're working on our news, weather and travel bulletins, and we'd love your feedback so we can make them better and then roll them out to everyone who wants them.

Traffic and travel
Recorded 12 Oct 2026 · Demo only
In Sheffield, queues of around eight minutes between Owlerton Green and Leppings Lane, and seven minutes between Wath Wood Road and Wath Roundabout. In Barnsley, delays of up to five minutes between Coniston Avenue and Staincross Common, with four-minute queues between Halifax Road and Barnsley Road. In Rotherham, traffic is moving slowly between Sheffield Road and March Gate. In Doncaster, traffic is slow between Doncaster Road and Elm Road, and between Cheltenham Road and Armthorpe Road. That's the latest traffic and travel from South Yorkshire's essentials.
