Councillors are considering findings from a major review into safety around Rotherham schools.
The Improving Places Select Commission has examined school road safety across the borough and produced a series of recommendations.
The work has looked at measures designed to protect children travelling to and from school. That includes school-street schemes, crossing patrols, enforcement around school entrances and traffic management.
Among the recommendations are calls for better coordination between council departments, improved data collection around schools and a borough-wide School Road Safety Strategy.
Councillors are also being asked to consider body cameras for crossing patrol staff, wider use of ANPR and enforcement cameras, more CCTV enforcement vehicles, potential School Streets pilot schemes, ward-specific road safety plans and a borough-wide survey of schools.
