A Rotherham teenager has been sentenced after admitting dangerous driving and driving without insurance following a police pursuit through Halifax.
West Yorkshire Police said Adam Tanveer, of James Street, Masbrough, appeared at Bradford Crown Court on 8 October. He received a 13-month detention sentence in a young offenders' institution, suspended for 18 months, and was ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work.
Police said Tanveer accelerated away from officers while driving an uninsured Audi Q2 and reached speeds of up to 90mph. The pursuit went through Shibden Park, where two pedestrians had to move out of the vehicle's path, before the Audi collided with a bus, a van and another car.
No-one was injured. Police said the combined damage exceeded £10,000, and Tanveer was disqualified from driving for two years.
