Health officials are continuing to investigate a small number of Legionnaires' disease cases identified in the Kimberworth Park area of Rotherham. The UK Health Security Agency is working with Rotherham Council, NHS partners and other agencies to establish whether the cases are linked and whether they have a common source. Legionnaires' disease is a form of pneumonia caused by breathing in tiny droplets of water containing Legionella bacteria. Officials have said the risk to the wider public is low and no specific buildings have been closed as part of the investigation.
