South Yorkshire Police have released a CCTV image of a man they believe could help their investigation into a serious assault on Doncaster Road in Rotherham. Police say the incident happened on 22 July after an altercation involving a man who had been in a parked red Seat Leon. The victim was struck with a hammer and strangled, although his injuries were not considered life-threatening or life-altering. Officers say extensive enquiries have so far failed to identify the person they want to speak to.
