Rotherham United lost 4-0 to Bradford City in the EFL Trophy at the AESSEAL New York Stadium on Tuesday 6 October.
Bradford took the lead after just three minutes through Will Swan.
Stephen Humphrys doubled the advantage before Swan scored again in the second half and Nick Powell added a fourth from the penalty spot late on.
Rotherham now turn their attention back to League Two, where they currently sit 17th after nine matches.
Next up for the Millers is Gillingham at home on Saturday 10 October, kicking off at 3pm at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.
