Rush House has been awarded £19,779.92 for a year-long programme aimed at helping vulnerable young people in Rotherham avoid crime and violence.
The project will work with 20 young men aged between 12 and 18 who may be struggling with education, training or employment, or who face other risks which could leave them vulnerable to exploitation or violence.
The 12-month prevention and mentoring programme is aimed at young people who are disengaged from, or struggling with, education, training or employment.
The funding is part of more than £591,000 being awarded to organisations across South Yorkshire for projects aimed at preventing violence.
The programme will use targeted support and early intervention.
The funding comes from the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority and its Violence Reduction Unit.
