Two teenage boys have been charged following a series of burglaries and attempted burglaries in Cudworth.
South Yorkshire Police says officers received reports of five attempted burglaries and three burglaries within around two hours during the early hours of Saturday 3 October.
Officers responded and arrested two teenagers, with suspected stolen property and equipment believed to have been used to break into homes also recovered.
Detectives secured a total of eight charges against the two suspects.
The boys cannot be named because of their ages.
They were remanded in custody and were due before Barnsley Magistrates' Court yesterday.
Proceedings are active and the charges have not been proven.
