New weekly support groups open in Barnsley for people worried about gambling

People in Barnsley who are worried about their gambling can now get help at new weekly support groups. The sessions start on Tuesday 20 October and will run at Barnsley YMCA and at Goldthorpe Library.

The groups are being supported by government funding and are run by Barnsley Recovery Connections, the council says. They're aimed at adults who want to talk about their gambling with others in a friendly, supportive setting.

If you or someone you know could do with a bit of support, the groups offer a chance to speak to people who understand. The council says the sessions are open to adults worried about their own gambling.
