Three brownfield sites in Sheffield that have been without buildings for 25 years could be redeveloped with more than 130 homes, under proposals put forward by Sheffield Housing Company.
The plots earmarked for development are on Wulfric Road in Manor, where 32 houses are proposed; Deerlands Avenue in Parson Cross, where 74 are planned; and Daresbury Drive in Arbourthorne, where 27 are proposed. Demolitions around the turn of the century left the land vacant, the company says.
According to the plans, the homes would meet high energy performance standards, and the designs include off-street private parking and habitat areas. Councillor Douglas Johnson, chair of Sheffield City Council's housing policy committee, said residents across the city would benefit from the homes.
